"I was struggling with anxiety and panic attacks. 

I had noticed a decline in my mental health over a few months where I was suffering more from anxiety, panic and spiralling thoughts. It was affecting my everyday life. It was affecting my sleep, my work, my relationships with family and friends. 

It was refreshing. This was my first experience with therapy, and it was really helpful to talk through issues I was facing with Terril who provided a very upfront and honest perspective. Talking through stressful situations and discussing coping mechanisms and boundaries I could put in place was very helpful. One of the main benefits from the coaching sessions was that for the first time I really felt listened to, understood and supported by Terril. 

 All of these tools have helped me stay in a good headspace.   Terril has an honest, direct and down to earth approach.

"The main challenges I was seeking help with , was Anger Management in stressful situations , this can be traced back to me having two serious accidents at work that left me with life changing injuries  I work in a high pressure  Transport industry and for example if a situation developed that needed my full focus , then it wouldn't take much to set me of. This was becoming a big issue with my work and I realised that I had to seek help.

The challenges were tough to talk about , not many men want to talk about their feelings and admit they need help . When I was at home I was ok as I had my wife for support, at work I felt that I had nobody. I also had a big pointless argument with a Senior Manager on site, that was when I realised that something had to be done.

The overall experience was very positive, at first we did some sessions over Video Call in my car and right from the start Terril was extremely understanding and would let the discussions go at my pace, if I found talking about my accidents or injuries arising for them stressful, then we would talk about something else. Then because of my close proximity to Terril we moved onto weekly sessions in her therapy room, which was a calm and safe environment to be in.

My mood swings have decreased dramatically and if I do feel one coming on then the strategies i learned during Therapy help me recognise these feelings and control them in a positive way.

Very Calming and extremely knowledgeable, also being able to have a laugh was helpful, I have had therapy in the past that I have just said to the practitioner that I was ok, just for them to be over with as quickly as possible .

I can not thank Terril enough , each session that we had has had a lasting impact on my life, my work has started becoming enjoyable again, in fact if it wasn't for Terril I don't believe I would still be working in this industry.

"I went to Terril after being diagnosed with ADHD at age 27 and was advised that CBT could be a good treatment option.

I had no prior experience or knowledge of any kind of therapy and had no idea what to expect or what I was looking to get out of it. Terril helped me understand my diagnosis and the associated symptoms and also provided me with numerous tools and information to help me moving forward.
